Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou in Beaumont Puy De Domme, France was born on the 9th of August in 1976. Audrey Tautou is an elder child in a family of four. Her parents, both a dental dentist and teacher, were aware of and supported their daughter's passion for acting and drama on the age of a stage novice. This support was enough to combat her desire to become primatologist. Early success and a rapid increase in recognition marked her as a young actor. In 1998, after completing her studies, she was able to take part in Jeunes Premiers an French show on TV that is a talent-scouting initiative, which is that was sponsored by Canal+. There she received the award for best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. This led her to begin her professional acting career. Tautou was educated at Institut Catholique de Paris, went to church when she was a child and was brought up Catholic. But she has now distanced herself with her Catholic upbringing. She pursued a career in modeling in addition to her acting work and is the model for L'Oreal Mont Blanc and Chanel often referred to as The Chanel Muse. Alongside her acting career, she has an interest in photography. Recently, she exhibited a selection of her photographs in the Arles Film Festival, under the title Superficial. The focus of her photography is celebrities, fame and the media that scrutinised her after her fame-making debut with Amelie. Also, she has numerous photographs of her self. Audrey Tautou's debut part, playing Amelie Poulain's main actress in Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain, brought the actress international fame. Amelie was an international box-office film that received acclaim during awards ceremonies across the globe. It is the most successful French language film in the US. The film's success has led to Tautou being cast in a range of roles, including British dramas such as Dirty Pretty Things by Stephen Knight and Jean Pierre Jeunet to Hollywood's The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks.
