Andra Day and Andi Matichak
Cassandra Monique Batie aka Andra Day, is a American R&B/Soul musician and singer. She's been awarded a Grammy Award and Children's and Family Emmy Award. Golden Globe Award and Academy Award nominations are also some of her awards. Andra Day is a skilled and powerful performer. She is not the throwback R&B expert, but her background in gospel jazz, as well as the blues are evident and translates into contemporary music. Her debut single Cheers to the Fall (2015) topped the R&B/hiphop charts, and her contributions towards Marshall (2017) have earned her a Grammy Award and Academy Award. Amen (2018) and Make Your Troubles go Away (2020) as well as her Golden Globe winning portrayal of Billie Holiday (The United States vs. Billie Holiday 2021) All of these have contributed to the excitement for the album she will release next. Andra day was born Cassandra Monique Batie, in Edmonds Washington. She grew in San Diego and the metropolitan region. She sang in church and attended The School of Creative and Performing Arts. When she left the School of Performing and Creative Arts, Day started to concentrate on modern R&B and pop, but she soon discovered that her roots in soulful jazz were the ones she was drawn to. Kai Millard Morris recorded a show of Day in the following year, then later gifted her husband Stevie Wonder some of Day's material. In turn, the Motown legend linked Day to music industry veteran Adrian Gurvitz. Day was signed by Warner Bros. after gaining the attention of a huge YouTube fan base together with Gurvitz and Jeffrey Evans Buskin. DJs began playing the track in radio stations. The album she released her debut Cheers To The Autumn (2015) was produced by the singer Adrian Gurvitz. She signed with Warner Bros. Records. The album included the track Rise up and was chosen as an anthem by the social justice movement across the globe. Day was nominated for two Grammy Awards including Best R&B Album. The United States Versus Billie Holiday was her second studio album which was released in 2019. It was a conceptual record about the life of Billie Holiday. That same year she starred in a biopic of Holiday's story, The United States vs. Billie Holiday (2021). Andi matichak (born on August 25, 1970) is an American actor. She began her career in the television series Orange Is the New Black, 666 Park Avenue and Blue Bloods. Her film debut was in the role of Allyson in the horror series Halloween. Andi matichak is an American actress, born 03 May 1994 in Framingham in Massachusetts.
